JIM WURSTER AND SKYRIDER RELEASE ‘HIRED HAND’, ON INDY LABEL FAKE FOUR

A Little History: Jim Wurster's stepson, Bud Berning, decided it was time to work on a project with his mentor. Bud was a musician in his own right, recording on popular indy label, Fake Four. Jim went out to Colorado and recorded an album with SkyRider, (Bud's alias) and his band. The result of this collaboration was Hired Hand, a unique and totally modern interpretation of Jim's potent songs and gritty vocals. Click here to purchase the album.
As fans may know, Jim is a teacher at Cypress Bay HS, who rises before the sun comes up. Every morning, Channel 4 Meteorologist, Ms. Gonzalez, keeps Jim company, on the tube. So vital was her reporting to his sunny disposition, that Jim was inspired to write a song called Lissette dedicated to Florida’s “Homegrown Beauty Queen.” The broadcasting department at his school, along with his students, filmed a video of the song and Gonzalez repaid the compliment and came to campus to meet the troubadour and his students
